Job Description

Our client, an American multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate, is currently seeking a Project Planner in Lake Buena Vista FL.

Contract: 12 Months

100% Onsite Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Pay Rate: $42.00 Per hour

The Project Planner is a key member of the Facilities & Operations team, responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting the successful delivery of facility design, construction and tenant-improvement projects. This role combines detailed scheduling, construction planning, stakeholder engagement, and field coordination to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational needs.

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines. Utilize industry-standard scheduling tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or ACC. Forecast resource needs and identify constraints. Track critical path activities and milestones. Coordinate project scope development and budget approval. Update forecasts regularly and ensure schedule alignment with project objectives and budget.

Project Execution & Technical Coordination

· Assist Project Managers on projects from conceptual planning through construction close-out and post-turnover support.

· Coordinate design and construction efforts with internal and external teams.

· Ensure consistent documentation of all project documents & deliverables.

· Perform on-site coordination, punch walks, and follow-up with key stakeholders.

· Ensure compliance with District/County building codes and internal standards, while informing teams of permit status updates.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

· Inform and assist Management in project communication.

· Build strong relationships with operators as well as internal and external partners. Facilitate planning discussions, validate assumptions, and secure leadership buy-in.

· Quantify & negotiate project scope changes & field directives.

· Provide clear communication of project status and escalate issues appropriately.

Budget, Risk & Compliance

· Monitor and track project budgets up to $5-10M.

· Track expenditures and maintain cost alignment.

· Identify & escalate risks and schedule impacts timely and appropriately to Project Teams.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related discipline

· 3-5 years of experience in related fields.

· Ability to read & translate CAD drawings & construction documents.

· Experience with tenant-improvement or facilities projects.

· Strong understanding of construction & project principles.

· Ability to work independently.

· Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

· Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Graduate degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related discipline

· 5-10 years of experience in related fields.

· Proficiency with scheduling tools. Proficient in Auto Desk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar project planning software.

· Strong analytical and forecasting abilities.

· Ability to navigate and edit AutoCAD documents.

Must haves:

· Familiarity with Project Scope, Budget, and Timeline: Candidates must be comfortable working with the overall project scope, managing budgets, and adhering to project timelines.

· Experience gathering data and tracking key milestones: The role also requires the ability to gather relevant data and track key project milestones to ensure successful project delivery

· Project Planning and Associate Project Management Skills: The ideal candidate should possess strong project planning abilities and have experience functioning as an Associate Project Manager
